Traditional yet new
Triglav is a small hotel in Dobrna, albeit with a big restaurant, which offers, among others, burgers and cocktails, an ice-cream parlour and a glass cabinet full of cakes, Sunday specials, and three kinds of squid. Be sure, therefore, to take a good look at the menus that the well trained and uniformed brigade of waiters offer you to peruse. Whilst enjoying the fresh flatbread and pork cracklings bought to the table as a welcome, you will already find yourself thinking that you will need to come again, since the seasonal menu offers so much choice. You will forget about the usual ‘classic’ dishes and instead opt for those featuring ingredients such as Flis’s cheese from Šempeter, Arbajter’s venison from Pohorje, Ferlic’s trout from Zvodno, in homegrown vegetables from the restaurant’s garden. Then, when you take a look at the tasting menu, it will become clear how, and where, you will celebrate your next big anniversary. At Gostilna Triglav the taste is of home and of the new.
