The table linen is carefully laid, the breakfast is excellent, and the china is white porcelain. And that is also what the food is like at Kendov dvorec – no sweet talk, no unnecessary ingredients, techniques or surprises. Everything is flawless and good, without being complicated and fussy. The trout is just marinated, the zelševka is soft inside and crispy outside, the soup is seasonal, the ravioli comes with mushrooms and the žlikrofi dumplings with mutton stew, while the lamb is served with barley and the venison with jam made of dried pears and Merlot wine. There is only one menu each evening, however, in such a luxurious environment everything that is less on the plate is actually more!
If you aren’t married yet, you will want to do so here, while if you are already married, a weekend in a manor like this will serve your marriage well. Kendov dvorec is about cosmopolitan food from the best local ingredients which looks back to the past and also incorporates the present. In the midst of luxury, the luxuriousness of the cooking is simply good.
