From ice-cream to tasting

Camp Šobec, in close proximity to Bled, boasts wonderful nature, a natural pool and an ambitious restaurant, which is open throughout the year. When everyone is in the camp, where the mountains and valley meet, nature here is something special. When everyone is at the coast and in Bled, bathing in the Šobec natural pool is something special. And when no one is left in the camp, a wedding here is something special!

Of course, pizzas can be had pretty much everywhere, but they are better here when followed by homemade ice-cream. Although campers usually cook their own meals, here they prefer to go for a Slovenian breakfast in the morning, seek shade in the restaurant at noon, and in the evening savour bone marrow with trout caviar and accompanying wines, so evenings in the camp are something special too!

Recommendation

Quote

Daily lunches include an amuse bouche and a special price for family lunches. The local trout has a seasonal side dish, while the accompanying wines are recommended by the excellent sommelier. The camp has a sustainability certificate, and the head chef of this restaurant in the middle of the camp not only offers pizzas and ice-cream but also fillet of beef in salt, and a seven-course tasting menu.

Ambience

This large restaurant in a Gorenjska/alpine style is varied enough that its size isn’t just practical but also attractive. A lakeside terrace.
