Castle
Castle Winery, Ljubljana Castle: for spectators, the most beautiful view of Ljubljana, and for drinkers, a meal accompanied by the best Slovenian wines.

Wine shop
Slovenian wine treasury (300+ labels) and Brda prosciutto, which matures for 40 months.
Greeting
The prosciutto greets you as you enter the wine shop. Belica lets the prosciutto mature in its tower in Medana for 40 months, so its full and deep flavor melts on the tongue. It is accompanied by olives, also from the Brda region, and olive oil from Miro Ugrin from Koper.

Bruschetta
The first course of the tasting menu is so simple that after the introduction with prosciutto, the bread and cheese need a good wine accompaniment. Yellow 2021, M-enostavno dobra vina.
Deer carpaccio
The deer carpaccio with chestnuts, walnuts and truffle mayonnaise is a better choice, although it sounds too familiar. But the hand-cut deer fillet is not chilled, but at the right “room” temperature, so it also benefits from the crunchy crumb of chestnuts, walnuts and black truffles. Carpaccio is a nice accompaniment to Jakončič’s white Carolina.

Štruklji
Curd štruklji (dumplings) on leek cream with crispy onions.
Idrijski žlikrofi
Traditional idrijski žlikrofi (dumplings) on cream sauce with chives.

Beef slices
Beef tagliata in natural sauce, gratinated mushrooms with onion and pancetta, topped with chives. And we’re back to the wine pairing (Cabernet franc 2017, Lisjak) and not the other way around.
Pork tenderloin
Pork tenderloin stuffed with prunes, dried apricots, mustard seeds and honey, beetroot puree (potatoes and beets).

Mono cake
Three chocolate cake: dark and white chocolate mousse and a juicy chocolate sponge cake. Port Keros 2018, Kerin.
Kobariški štrukelj
Homemade Kobarid štruklji with walnuts and buttery bread crumbs.
