As Bogenšperk is so beautiful and offers so much, visitors initially come merely because of the castle itself. However, the tavern Krčma and its ambitious food satisfies the hungry while appealing the curious.

Seafood cream, shrimp tail, sweet potato puree, orange caviar, stuffed celery pocket, charred kale, warmed shrimp and lacy pastry crust.

Cream from butter, overheated cream and cumin, brioche.

Sea bass

Sea bass fillet, white polenta cake with truffles, fava bean cream, olive tapenade on the polenta, celery sauce and basil gel.

Cheekbones

Pork cheek wrapped in bacon, fried asparagus in beer batter, fried egg yolk rolled in breadcrumbs and hazelnuts on top of baked bacon, natural sauce enriched with red wine, celery puree.

Castle eclair

Pate sable (brittle dough with almonds) is a fine-firm base of a white chocolate cake, which is enriched with asparagus and cherries and  enriched by homemade yogurt ice cream.
