Surprises on the menu

On entering this pub, you aren’t surprised by anything, rather everything is familiar and homely; a real oven for pizzas, a real taps for beer and really colourful spaciousness. The only surprises are those on the menu.

Bistro Ferment is (like) a pub, albeit with a bistro menu and in a ‘bistronomy’ way. So, the ambience is for socialising over a glass of beer and snacks, which aren’t just big portions but also simple dishes that we all know and love, so they are ‘ours’, with the only difference being that at Ferment these dishes are ‘cheffy’, i.e. modern, crafted, likeable and extremely tasty. It is because of this that it is a place for everyone: restaurant guests, because the soup is beef, the Wiener schnitzel is veal, the game is locally resourced, the pork is cheek and belly; pub guests, because they wash down goulash with beer and indulge in marrowbone; social, because they dip in the fondue and share their dishes with one another; young, because the pizzas are classic but the burger is smashed, and fish&chips is available too; the hungry, because there are so many different and original dishes here that you can order time and again; and the curious, because this is finally not just a pub for the really thirsty and a bistro for gourmets but it is both, for lovers of good food!

We love visiting pubs because we are thirsty for beer, jolly company, classic pizzas and chips with everything. However, Bistro Ferment isn’t satisfied with this, rather it surprises diners with dishes that are a lot better than we are used to in such an ambience. You will realise that these days pubs aren’t merely places to drink a lot, rather they are places to also eat well. Therefore, cheers, as at Bistro Ferment it won’t be on an empty stomach!

If you come to the pub, they pour you five beers, if you come to the bistro, they also have non-alcoholic sparkling wine and colorful cocktails, if you’re in a tavern, the house winemaker is Zarova from Brda.
