Štorja is a story

Postojna is a story beneath ground. The mysterious humanfish lives in its caves in eternal darkness. Štorja is a story beneath a staircase. Thanks to this Story Postojna no longer lives in the culinary dark!

One often needs to travel a long way to reach such a restaurant that offers a winning combination of restaurant and wine bar, here, however, you only have to travel to the centre of Postojna and down beneath its staircase. Elsewhere in this kind of restaurant the waiting staff wear white gloves, the prices are inflated, and guests have overly high expectations. Here, however, the chef’s amuse bouche has more courses than tasting menus offered elsewhere.

You have to go on a trip somewhere far to visit such inns, but here is a combination of an inn, bistro, and wine shop right in the center of Postojna, you just have to go down the stairs. Chef Marko Stankovič, who loves strong flavors from start to finish, ensures that jota, blood sausage, pork head, brains, tripe, cheeks… are an unforgettable experience between Notranjska and Primorska.

In the past hungry diners here had a choice between burgers and pasta, now, however, the curious can choose between 4, 7, or 9-course menus.
