Even though it is in a manor, it is still in the Vipava countryside, even though it is internationally acclaimed, it is still a simple restaurant, even though one returns time and again due to the memories, every visit is a new experience! It’s not just the taste, it’s also the soul, it’s not just lunch, it’s also an excursion on which you set off wholly due to Lojze! Tomaž Kavčič has a Star due to his culinary excellence, as well as due to his mother’s horseradish spread. These are ideas that remain limited by the seasons and local availability, but which are also limitlessly joyous, playful and relaxed.
Gostilna pri Lojzetu provides a feeling of delight and comfort, and food that can be eaten with the hands and which has a Michelin Star, while Tomaž Kavčič is a Slovenian (and internationally renowned) chef, who knows best how to wind guests around his fingers and is full of surprises.
