One doesn’t order at Gostilna Skaručna – one eats! Because every day in this restaurant is like being at a once-in-a-lifetime wedding. Gostilna Skaručna is an archetypal Slovenian village restaurant because it serves the kind of food that Slovenians love and because you arrive sober and leave drunk! So why, therefore, is Gostilna Skaručna the only one of its kind? Precisely because they don’t make such restaurants any longer. It is only Gostilna Skaručna alone that has succeeded in combining the impossible – turning those with large appetites into gourmets and turning gourmets into those with large appetites! Food is brought and drinks are poured until you can’t eat or drink any more, and then you are invited to the bar where everything begins once over!

The most important question that can be heard at Gostilna Skaručna is: “Do you have time?” Therefore, don’t go there if you haven’t, though not because everything is slow rather because you will end up wanting to linger!
