Meat among water lilies

It really means something if chef’s amuse bouche is served on the terrace, filled with aromas from the grill, on a large glass plate, with a parmesan souffle, in the challenging company of juicy-sweet-sour cranberry sauce and delicious, fully flavoured lamb pate, with a crispy-spicy addition of freshly fried sage. Restavracija Oaza has a chef!

Oaza is a speciality because of the pond and the terrace above it, which is successfully filled with čevapčiči, steaks and Prekmurje dialect. But what elsewhere is just a pond and grill, at Oaza it is upgraded into an excursion where you can stay for several days, or on the first evening you can treat yourself to a meal cooked by a Canadian chef who fell in love with Prekmurje, who will surprise you with beetroot and pear, with a cube of beef and crispy breadcrumbs, with deer and buckwheat štruklji, with a new haircut and red socks. A real oasis!

If you end your morning cycling trip through Prekmurje with a speciality ‘Prekmurje pan’ enjoyed whilst watching over water lilies for lunch, then go for a swim in the thermal mineral water of Terme 3000, the perfect way to end the day is on the wooden terrace in Mlejtinci for dinner at Restavracija Oaza, where at sunset, you can savour a perfectly seasoned and precisely grilled lung fillet in wine sauce with bone marrow.
