Marina
When the weather is nice, Izola is always full. But when the weather is bad, when it’s not in season, when it’s not a weekend, Izola is also lonely… With one exception! The Marina Hotel is always full (at least 80% occupied), from January to December, from Monday to Sunday, from morning to evening. Why? Because of nostalgia!
There is too much nostalgia – terraces by the sea, waiters with bow ties, fish from the oven, grilled shrimp and sorbet in a straw – on the coast. But because it is generic nostalgia. The Marina is old-fashioned in a sincere, authentic and modern way! This and that, which we want everywhere at the seaside, but which disappoints us almost everywhere precisely because of this crowding, we can, unfortunately, only get in the Izola Marina.

Raw
Raw oyster, raw shrimp, sea bass carpaccio with strawberries, garlic cream, wasabi cream, micro greens. This is nostalgia that makes you happy!
Queens
In the springtime, marinated sardines are simple and nostalgic on a bed of lettuce, with pine nuts, radishes, and pickled red onions.

Chanterelles
Grilled and pan-fried fresh chanterelles and prawns are, of course, on arugula, but it’s not wilted, stalky and dry, but alive and fragrant. And the scallop is grilled in a shell, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with parmesan shavings.
Deep-fried
When sardines are this fresh, they are queens even if they are just fried. Or rather, freshly fried, to the point of burning your fingers and tongue, they are the best. And the spicy sauce is also nostalgic…

Fresh
Grilled wild sea bream, pine nut cream and “our” mayonnaise. This is what is generic “everywhere”, but sincere in Marina!
Wine
The wine list in Marina is a book that is instructive to read. Unfortunately, it also lacks vintages, but it does not lack the courage to offer top-quality Istrian wines at a friendly price! For an aperitif, sparkling wine Plavina, 2021, Blanc de noir, Ražman; for a nostalgic dinner, Amfora, 2018, Gordia.
